What your Juno Placement Reveals

Since we’re in the heart of Libra season and focusing our energies on relationships, I thought it would be a lovely time to introduce Juno (if you haven’t met her already), one of the five major asteroids! Often overlooked in traditional horoscopes, Juno is another cosmic puzzle piece that adds complexity to our understanding of relationships and the way we go about them.

In Roman mythology, Juno was known as the queen of the gods and the goddess of marriage, childbirth, and women. She was considered the wife and sister of Jupiter (the Roman equivalent of Zeus in Greek mythology) and was one of the twelve Olympian deities in Roman religion. She was a complex and multifaceted goddess, which is why a significant asteroid was named after her. You will also notice that her glyph represents a scepter, for her association with royalty.

When it comes to our natal charts, the placement of Juno offers valuable insights into our desires and approaches to love and partnership. Its placement in your birth chart reveals your preferred style of relating, as well as the qualities you seek in a significant other. Are you a hopeless romantic or more of a practical partner? Do you prefer tension or like things to stay calm? Juno can tell you! Because of Juno’s connection to Jupiter, it is seen as an advantage to have Juno and Jupiter making a conjunction, trine, or sextile in the chart.
